report of saaed abdulla

On May 2013 , Tuesday morning we had a  presentation in class with Mr. Hedley and Saeed Abdulla started talking about the advantages and disadvantages  and market shares about Nokia , BlackBerry , IPhone.
First of all Saeed talked about Black berry ;Blackberry is one of  the successful smart phones around the world. Businessmen  prefer it because blackberry is an elegant elite class phone. Blackberry is available these days in the latest  types like :  Z10 , Q10 , Bold 9790 , 9900 , Curve and more like Storm and Touch.
Advantages :
Communication with people by Blackberry messenger
Business phone
Fast charging, not like before
Disadvantages :
Touch screen
Bad lagging in the new phones
Getting hot while talking by the phone without headset

What I know about phones is that Nokia was the best  till 2008 when Blackberry showed up in the market; till now people change to Blackberry and iPhone. So Nokia tried to invent new phones with touch screen and option like blackberry and iPhone but that doesn’t make sense and they kept on losing. Advantages of Nokia: long battery and small phones and disadvantages: lag and more weight.
I phone is a very strong brand; it’s needed those days by people. IPhone is available for many things like to enter your mail and easily get what you want in internet so a laptop is not necessary if someone has got iPhone . I phone has many good qualities Music and apple store for downloading what a person needs and battery life. The bad thing of iPhone it get is when  you forget it in the car it gets hot and you can’t use it: you get a warning light.

Abdulraman Al-Junabi Report

Abdulraman Al-Junabi started today introducing his topic in front of the class about water sports. There are two kinds of water sport ( 1-jet ski 2-wake board ); they are intresting games and there are so many options like gym , shooting , paint ball etc. All of these exciting games and sports are in the Alfarsan club in Abu Dhabi ; this place contains so many things for people; this club got the first cable lake in the Middle East. Then Abdulraman talked about the prices for joining the club ; people can pay 15,000 for a years membership in water sports but the good thing is they give you two more options ; if you pay 15,000 first you can get two friends with you , to join you and play second ; they also can pay three more games free.Without membership, if anyone wants to try the water sports he can pay 100 dirhams for one hour ; also they give safety equipment like helmet and life jacket. In Alfarsan club its usually crowded in the summer. Those water games have good advantages for the body such as being healthy and they give you a good and fit shape for your body.

meeting mintues

In class meeting: agenda, minutes & recommendations

Problem: The parking problem at ADMC

Date of meeting: 19 March 2013

Time of meeting: 12:40pm

Venue: J12

Group members:

Chair: Hamad Al Mehairbi

Recording : Mubarak Al Mazrouei

Secretary: Mohammed Al Qubaisi

Participant: Abdullah Al Mehairbi

Agenda:

Parking problems at ADMC

Multi-storey parking at the F-block

Build a new parking lot at the F-block

Service of valet parking

The chairmen Hamad opened the meeting at 12:40pm

1. Build a multi-storey car park near the F-block.

Hamad said it is a very good idea to build multi-storey parking

Mohammed and Abdullah said it’s a very good idea to build the multi-storey parking but it will take a lot of time and it will be very expensive to build it. Hedley worried about the piece of land and wondered if the ADMC college does own the land or not. If not then it will be too expensive because the cost will be buying the piece of land and building multi-storey car park.

The disadvantages  of building multi-storey parking is that it will take time to build it ; it’s too far and it is too expensive.

2. Mohammed the secretary talked about the idea of building a new parking lot near the F-block.

We all agreed about this idea because it can take a lot of cars in it and there will be no parking problems here. Abdullah said it will cheaper to build a new parking lot than to build multi-storey parking and we all agreed with it. Hedley asked a good question and it was hard to answer; he said if we build a new parking lot will the students park there rather than park in the old parking lot. We said they will because it will be easier to park there.

The only disadvantage of building a new parking beside the F-block is that it is too far from the classes.

3. Abdulla gave us a nice idea that is to have a valet parking.

Hamad and Mohammed said that it is a nice idea but it will be expensive and we need to have a contract agreement with a valet parking company; also it will be very expensive because the company will have too many drivers because there are many students in the college plus it will cost students to pay money for the service.

The disadvantage of having valet parking is that it is expensive. It needs a yearly contract with the company and it will be expensive for students to pay every day for the valet service.

At last after a long arguments and negotiations we have agreed that the best solution is to build a new parking lot near the F-block .

meeting report

-->
We had a meeting on March 19 2013 at 12:40 pm. The purpose of the meeting was to solve the problem of the car parking in the college. The chair of the group members is Hamad; he opened the meeting with his members Mohammed , Abdulla  and a visitor who was Mr. Hedley. Hamad started with his first solution that was to build a multi-storey car park near the F-block on the empty sand area. It was a good idea and all of the group liked it; then Mohammed gave us another solution is to build a normal parking lot on the same place that Hamad said that he will build the multi-storey car parking on the sand near the F-block area. Then Abdulla also had another solution, to have a valet service to park the students, cars.
Of course all of these solutions have some disadvantages. The disadvantages to build a multi-storey car parking is that it will be expensive and it will take time to build it and it will be far for the students of other blocks than the F-block.Building a normal parking lot has one disadvantage which is that it will only be far from classes. The disadvantages of having a valet parking is that it will be expensive on students to pay for the service and the college will need to have a contract agreement that costs more money.
At the end of the meeting the group agreed to build the normal parking lot on the sand near the F-block.
